Calendula Facial Serum
This 1oz bottle of Calendula Facial Serum is a soothing and cleansing natural moisturizer for all skin types. Use a dime-sized amount for daily moisturizing.
Ingredients: organic jojoba oil, organic castor oil, calendula oil, organic petitgrain essential oil, organic geranium essential oil
This serum can also be used for daily oil cleansing of the skin. If you aren't familiar with oil cleansing it's very simple (and relaxing!) to do.
How to Oil Cleanse:
- Apply a quarter-sized amount of serum to your face with clean hands.
- Rub the serum gently into your skin for two minutes to dissolve oil and dirt within your pores and on the surface of your skin (in chemistry they say "like dissolves like" so the oil helps break up oil!).
- Optional: use your gua sha stone or jade roller for an extra skin-toning boost!
- Take a hot washcloth and place it over your face for 30 seconds.
- Using the washcloth, wipe the excess very gently off the surface of your skin.
- Then apply your primer/sunscreen/makeup as needed.
How does calendula benefit the skin?
Calendula oil has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that aid in healing wounds, preventing acne, and soothing contact dermatitis. The strongest compound in calendula is a triterpenoid called faradol which has a massive anti-inflammatory effect for the skin.
